The 21st International Workshop on Seismic Anisotropy (21st IWSA) will be held in Hangzhou, China from May 14 to 18, 2027. This event marks the workshop's significant return to China for the first time since the 12th IWSA was hosted in Beijing, Sept. 2006.
Held biennially since 1984, IWSA brings together leading global experts in seismic anisotropy for intensive discussions on research advancements. The workshop focuses on deepening the understanding of seismic anisotropy in the Earth and advancing practical methods for seismic data processing, imaging, and inversion in anisotropic media.
This gathering will showcase the latest theoretical developments and numerical solutions addressing Earth's anisotropic properties and developments on multicomponent seismic technologies. We invite you to submit an abstract and register to attend. We warmly invite researchers, industry professionals and students to submit abstracts and register for the event too.
